Black Lab Linux 8.0 “Onyx” has been in development for the past three months, based on the Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) operating system, which will reach end of life in April 2019. The fourth Alpha build arrives today with many updated software packages from the upstream Ubuntu 14.04 LTS repositories, including Linux kernel 4.2.0-36 and Chromium 50 web browser.
Among the pre-installed Web Apps in Black Lab Linux 8.0 Alpha 4, we can mention almost all of Google services, including Google Docs, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, Google Play Music, Google, Maps, Google Photos, Google Drive, Google Hangouts, as well as Twitter, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Outlook Mail, and Spotify.
