In the month of May, the BlackArch Linux devs had released the BlackArch version 2016.04.28 as a replacement for the previous ISO image, version 2016.01.10. This new version added more than 80 new tools that can be used for penetration testing and security auditing operations. As a result, the new ISOs included over 1400 tools.
Now, three months later, the BlackArch Linux operating system developers have announced the release of BlackArch Linux 2016.08.19, an Arch-based live distribution with a large collection of tools designed for penetration testing and security research. The development team with the new ISO has managed to add more than 100 new tools you can use for penetration testing and ethical hacking work.
Since the BlackArch is built on the famous, lightweight and highly customizable Arch Linux operating system, the new ISO too have all the security and software updates released since the previous ISO image was announced in May. Also, the new Linux ISO serves more than 1,900 packages and has the recently released Linux 4.7.1 kernel as well.
