The development team behind the BlackArch Linux penetration testing distribution based on Arch Linux announced the release of new Live ISO images with updated components and various improvements.
The BlackArch 2016-08-30 ISO images are here to replace the previous ISOs, namely BlackArch 2016-08-19, and upgrade the kernel packages to the latest Linux 4.7.2 release, as well as to add various improvements to the BlackArch Linux installer, repair a bug in the strap.sh script, and update all the core components and in-house built tools.
Netinstall ISO images of BlackArch Linux 2016-08-30 are available as well for those who want to install the penetration testing GNU/Linux distribution on their machines but don’t want to download the Live ISOs that have over 4GB in size. The Netinstall ISOs are much smaller (under 100MB) and let you install the OS directly from the Internet.
