Paul Sherman, the developer of the Absolute Linux distribution based on Slackware, has announced the availability of the second point release to the stable Absolute 14.2 series.
Absolute 14.2 launched in mid-September 2016 and is based on the latest and most advanced Slackware 14.2 operating system, but from time to time there’s need for updated installation medium in case you want to deploy the OS on new computers without the need to download any updates. That’s why Absolute 14.2.2 is here, bundled with all the latest kernel and graphics stack updates released for Slackware 14.2 since its July launch.
Again, Absolute 14.2.2 is an installation medium designed for those who want to deploy the Slackware-based operating system on new computers or existing users who planned a reinstall because of various reasons.
