The updated CloudLinux 6 Beta kernel is tagged as build 2.6.32-673.26.1.lve1.4.26 and it’s here to replace kernel 2.6.32-673.26.1.lve1.4.25. It is available right now for download from CloudLinux’s updates-testing repository and backports a fix (CKSIX-109) for R1Soft’s backup solution from CloudLinux 7’s kernel.
If you’re running CloudLinux 6 and you want to install this new Beta kernel version on your environment, you’ll need to run the following commands in a terminal emulator or the virtual console, which you can activate with the ALT+F2 keyboard shortcut. Please reboot your installations after installing the new kernel.
Meanwhile, the CloudLinux kernel team works hard to thoroughly test these new, updated Beta kernels for CloudLinux 7, CloudLinux 6 Hybrid, and CloudLinux 6 series of operating systems to be able to promote them to the stable channel in the coming days or weeks.
We remind you that CloudLinux 7 is based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and CloudLinux 6 is developed using the freely distributed sources of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 operating system.
