We’ve told you earlier that Ubuntu 16.10 is now in development, and a first Alpha build has been released for opt-in flavors, namely Ubuntu MATE, Lubuntu, and Ubuntu Kylin. We’ve already written in-depth articles about the new features included in the Ubuntu MATE 16.10 Alpha 1 and Lubuntu 16.10 Alpha 1 releases, so it’s time to talk a little about Ubuntu Kylin 16.10 Alpha 1.
Shipping with the same Linux 4.4 LTS kernel packages as Ubuntu Kylin 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus), the first Alpha build of Ubuntu Kylin 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) doesn’t include any major changes, only some bug fixes and various updated packages. The release notes contain information only about the known issues, which will be removed till the final release of the operating system on October 13, 2016.
