Full Circle 54 – Closing Windows

   Thank you for the effort put into releasing the magazine.

   It would be really appreciated if you could put the file embedded in a pdf viewer (like from scribd) on this page.

   • Scribd and similar sites can be problematic for plug-ins and compatibility with our WordPress site, so we decided a while ago not to go with that. Not to mention which sites and formats to include! The PDF works for the majority for now, but we keep reviewing platforms for delivery. Thanks.

2. There’s an errata in page 27 in the title, the phrase “ZoneMinder CCTV – Part 3” shouldn’t appear there.

4. Somehow Firefox will not download your magazine or any back issue. Firefox just stops doing anything – big freeze. I dont have a problem with any other website. Could you please help. Thanks for your great work !

5. i am sadly only understanding about 4% or less of this mag. i started with 4040 and then the ghee-whiz! 8080 processor. my first computer was a trash 80 and then i was honored to be allowed to buy the 2nd apple 1, integer model. i bought a rare expansion card and loaded it with a spreadsheet program that i think started with “v”. this gave me an apple with 16 K plus 48 K of memory. WOW! i started with A 1 and ran the whole spreadsheet to the opposite corner. it gave me a profound sense of the huge 48 K memory i had installed. since no one knew how to run the program, i had to call the programmers for instructions. they had forgotten to include this in the package. i found out quickly that i had to write my own programs if i wanted a different program to run. so i learned basic and went on from there.
   now, i find i can’t get started understanding linux because i can’t find any books on how to linux that are useful to rank beginners. ( i have more than a couple of dozen.) i get a tiny bit here and there but i can’t get my teeth into the many problems i have forcing linux to run properly. (no sound o the tower, but very low level sound on laptop) i, sirs, am getting very discouraged and frustrated. i had better success with OS 2!
   i am a totally disabled ‘nam era vet so the cost of failed books is extremely painful. i would appreciate any help in finding a source of instruction that you would give.
