Patreon fees

Patreon fees

UPDATE: Patreon has now admitted that the idea of charging patrons is absurd and are NOT going through with the proposed changes. We’ll still keep DonorBox going though.

Patreon is now, it seems, passing its charges onto the patrons. Several people have asked us to use an alternative as they (quite rightly) object to having to pay the Patreon fee on top of their monthly pledge.

DonorBoxI’ve signed up for DonorBox. This uses Stripe and PayPal. You can have a single donation, or a recurring monthly donation, and it can be done using either your credit card (via Stripe/PayPal) or PayPal. Click the links to make a donation, or you can use the widget on the right-hand panel of each page on this website (you may need to scroll down to see it).

Just like Patreon, anyone donating will get their name on the Patreon Donors page of each issue.

If you have any problems with DonorBox please let us know.

  1. I suggest you look at It’s an open source social platform with its own cryptocurrency. It’s growing nicely and good content does get rewarded there. I’ve made some good money and made a lot of friends. You can use various exchanges to get your money out. I’d support you there. I don’t get any referral reward if you join. I’d just like to see more of the open source community on there and getting rewarded.

    • I’m hoping to use SteemIt for myself and my artwork (still waiting to be accepted), but maybe I’ll put FCM on there too. We’ll see how it goes.
